He has shared bills (first as Mishima USA & now under his name) with artists such as Rufus Wainwright, Daniel Johnston, The Sheila Divine, Ben Kweller, Thalia Zedek, Kimya Dawson, the War on Drugs, Tugboat Annie, & Sun Urchins. Vaun’s book-length poem, Capillarity, was published by Carcanet in 2009. His poems & essays have appeared in various journals & outlets. In another life that he’s happy to have escaped, he was a professor of creative writing & literature. He has lived in Glasgow, Berlin, Los Angeles, Beirut, & Yerevan, & spent a chunk of his childhood in Virginia.
